The College Assistance Program (CAP)

The College Assistance Program, popularly known as CAP, provides college information to the students and families of Miami Beach Senior High. As the CAP Advisor, I welcome students and parents to make appointments to discuss your child’s college pathway. - 8:00am to 2:20pm // Mondays - Fridays
- Office closed from 12:50-1:20 for lunch
- STUDENT LUNCH TIME OFFICE IS OPEN FOR DROP IN QUESTIONS AND WAIVERS
(students must have a pass from their teacher during class time)
- After hours appointments must be made at least 2 days in anticipation.

College Information Bulletins - Provide the latest news on college-related information.
Scholarship Bulletins - offers information about big scholarships [but you must also do your own research!]
College Events Bulletins - provides dates and information about college sessions and events
Financial Aid Bulletins - this news offers guidance in obtaining state and federal aid for college.
ANNOUNCEMENTS - At times, special announcements though this information may be featured in the bulletins previously mentioned. Usually these are announcements of meetings for parents and students. Also, remember to join your facebook page that corresponds to your year of graduation. This year is MBSH2018
Information Sheets - These are 1 or 2-page sheets covering specific topics – eg., Avoiding Application Mistakes, The Public Ivies, Florida College Information, etc. Be sure to check out the “Websites” information sheet - used for college searches and scholarship searches.SAT/ACT - Guidance on taking the SAT and ACT College Entrance Examinations. Please check on College Board site and ACT site for dates and deadlines.Click on the fee waiver request button to request a waiver for any of these tests.
