    Year-by-Year Checklist for Success!

     

     
     
     
     
    Grade List of items must be done at that grade level.

    Freshman Year

    • Develop good training routines. weight training, running, and flexibility.
    • Earn solid grades right from the start (A's & B's ONLY!).
    • Contribute on the JV Team, with a goal of moving up to the Varsity level.
    • Attend summer camps, 7 on 7's, and other off-season training programs to greater develop your skill set.
    • Assess Diet Plan to maximize energy & weight gain/loss.
      Go through Summer Weight Training program at Miami Beach.
       

    Sophmore Year

    • Continue weight training, running, and flexibility. 
    • Continue to get the best grades possible (3.0 GPA or higher).
    • Players should prepare to become starters or contributors at the Varsity level.
    • Pass the FCAT on your first try!!
    • Attend summer camps, 7 on 7's, and other off-season training programs to greater develop your skill set.
    • Go through Summer weight training program at Miami Beach.

    Junior Year

    • Continue good training routines!
    • Work hard in practice to have the best year of your high school career.
    • Take courses necessary to attend the college(s) of your choice.

    • See your CAP counselor for any new information. The counselor can give you information about taking the tests and test preparation for free or reduced cost.
    • Develop leadership skills to make the team the best it can be.
    • Attend College summer camps, 7 on 7's, and other off-season training programs to greater develop your skill set.
    • Go through Summer weight training program at Miami Beach.

    Senior Year

    • Become a team leader & foster a winning attitude for the team.
    • Become an expert at your position, learn everything you can about it. Leave nothing to chance!
    • Continue great training routines, weight training, running, and flexibility.
    • Make Hi-Lite Tape, answer questionnaires, communicate with college coaches, market your athletic & academic abilities.
    • Improve your ACT/SAT test scores DO IT!!
    • See your CAP couselor for any new information.
    • Make sure your grades are the very best they can be, to give you the best opportunity to earn a scholarship.
